Kick Dock in Maine

Kick Dock installed by DockGuys

Challenge
Customer was looking for a dock that matched the rustic charm of her cabin on Snow Pond in Sidney Maine. The second largest body of water in the Belgrade Chain of Lakes. Also known as Messalonskee Lake. She also needed a secure place to keep her pontoon boat. The other things she was looking for were a large sitting area and a safer and easier way to launch her kayak.

Solution
We chose to use a wooden dock with cedar decking. We went five 4’ x 10’ sections out to get her in deep enough water for diving and to land her boat using the post bumpers and cleats. We chose to drive the legs in lake bottom to provide a stable platform and safe harbor for her boat in a storm. We added two sit-side sections at the end to create a 12’ x 10’ sitting area. We finished the dock with a swim ladder and low deck for her kayak.
